Youth Programming

Makerspace provides a wide range of youth programming in arts education and hands-on learning. These programs include After-School Artisans, Make Stuff Mondays, Dreambrokers, Summer Camp, and partnering with other community organizations.

After School Artisans

After-school Artisans is an 18-week program designed to provide an enriching and engaging experience at no cost for inner-city and at-risk youth. The program is focused on introducing students to the world of art, creating, digital design, STEM, and making, with a particular emphasis on hands-on learning, utilizing nearly all of our tools and equipment.

Make Stuff Mondays

Make Stuff Mondays is a dynamic 8-week hands-on experience, in which participants will explore the realms of laser cutting, 3D printing, decal cutting, leatherwork, and woodworking, bringing their ideas to life with precision and innovation. From personalized decals to the artistry of leatherworking and the craftsmanship of woodworking, each week offers a unique opportunity for hands-on exploration and creative expression.

Dreambrokers

Makerspace partners with Dreambrokers to provide a wide range of programming services for the inner-city school they work with. From focused 4 week programs, 10 week extended programs, 18 week full programs, or even a dedicated week of summer camp, Dreambrokers has been instrumental in helping us to provide enriching hands-on learning to many youth who don’t have the same sort of opportunities as many other families in the city.

We work with many community organizations in the city to provide free programs to families of that community. During this time, youth can attend at no charge to learn a wide variety of our tools, equipment, and art forms.
