Meet the staff

  • Brandon Golding - executive director

    Brandon has worked primarily in retail, as Store Management, or Owner/Operator. After learning and growing in the retail industry, he developed a strong desire to continue to learn new skills, develop them, and challenge himself. This drive took him to Regina and Calgary and then to Lexington, Kentucky to work construction on a Performance Horse Breeding Facility. Once returning to Saskatoon, Brandon became a member of Makerspace, starting a small woodworking business. Building and repairing everything he could, he became dedicated to helping Makerspace grow, and his current role in the organization was a perfect fit.

  • Nadeige (Deige) Dionne - Community Coordinator

    Deige is from Kitimat, BC, but has spent most of her life in Saskatoon. She has spent over a decade in the service and hospitality industry, working primarily in bars and restaurants, with a sprinkle of retail here and there. She spent 5 years traveling on and off after highschool, before starting her own jewelry business during covid, and shortly after, settling into a management position within the service industry. She plans on pursuing a career in the arts by continuing to create her own, and by working to help improve access for people who feel the same draw to the creative as she does.

Meet the board

  • DALLAS TETARENKO - Board president

    Dallas is the Executive Director at Saskatchewan Co-operatives Association. Dallas has worked in the human services sector for ten years, and he has been integral in advancing key systemic initiatives in his role as a practicing professional. His work is focused on helping resolve historically complex systemic challenges and creating and improving access to services and supports so that persons who experience societal marginalization can live fulfilling and inclusive lives within their chosen communities.

    Dallas has many creative interests that take him in unexpected directions. He is passionate about drawing, writing and performing music, ceramics, film, and sculpture. He is excited about his role as president with the Saskatoon Makerspace board of directors. Dallas is eager to advance the work of Saskatoon Makerspace and to create an environment where everyone has access to the resources to pursue their creative interests.

  • Devon Plett - Founder

    With a Passion to create and provide creatives with a collaborative community environment. Devon Founded Saskatoon Makerspace in 2017. Growing Makerspace from a 1,700 square foot building to a 10,000 square foot facility full of artists and makers. An artist himself He spends his time painting, sculpting, learning, teaching and dreaming about how Makerspace could better serve it’s community. He is Excited to be working with an amazing team to create further sustainability and growth for Makerspace.

  • BRIAN STOREY

    Brian is the CEO of SCYAP. Brian was born in Melfort, Sk. to a family of artists and entrepreneurs, which resulted in his interest in taking both paths. Thru-hiking, in recent years, has become a passion of his, and he’s spent quality time on various trails (with his house and provisions on his back) walking through some of the most beautiful and tranquil wilderness’ on the continent. Brian and his wife Judy have five children, and nine grandchildren, all of which have decided to set up camp right here in beautiful Saskatoon. They lived for nine years on an eighty acre slice of the Nesbitt Forest (by the forks of the Shell and Sturgeon Rivers) Northwest of Prince Albert, where they milked goats, raised chickens and grew their own food. A decade of adventure has helped him and his family grow very close. His business life has been much the same, a series of diverse adventures. He’s learned that (as much as possible) work must be converted to play before proceeding. He enjoys his involvement with Makerspace. The opportunity to have some input into this selfless and quality of life venture is a privilege that he doesn’t take lightly.

  • Jocelyn Hrabinsky

    Originally drawn to Saskatoon to pursue a commerce degree at the Edwards School of Business, Jocelyn majored in Human Resources and has since earned her CPHR designation. Her work in Compensation has deepened her passion for financial stewardship, as well as her commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and human resources best practices.  


    Jocelyn's dedication to building relationships and empowering individuals aligns with the Makerspace vision, making her a natural advocate for fostering a community that encourages newcomers to explore and embrace fine craft in Saskatchewan.  Her array of hobbies, including ceramics, baking, wood-working, crochet, and embroidery, highlight her creativity and hands-on approach to learning.

  • ERIC VERITY

    Eric is a dedicated and hardworking professional with a CPA designation. Born and raised in Saskatoon, he has a deep appreciation of the local community and a passion for giving back. Eric is a strategic thinker with a strong background in accounting and finance. He has a natural talent for problem-solving and excels at identifying opportunities for growth and development. At the same time, Eric understands the importance of governance and is always looking for ways to improve the processes and systems in place. He is known for using a clear and concise communication style, which makes it easy for others to understand and act on complex financial information.

  • Louis Dombowsky

    Louis is a Saskatoon-based designer with a passion for creating innovative products and systems through the lens of an entrepreneur. He graduated from Emily Carr University of Art + Design with a degree in Industrial Design, focusing on furniture design.

    He lived in Vancouver for 10 years, where he spent much of his time in research and development. His responsibilities included developing an EV charging product line, notably the VersiCharge XL, in collaboration with Siemens NA. During this period, he completed his Master’s in Business for Architecture and Design at IE University in Madrid, Spain.

    In 2018, Louis started a company around a product he developed named PortaVia, a silicone lid designed to seal various coffee mugs, making them safe for on-the-go use. He recently sold this company to pursue a new venture with two partners out of Vancouver, called Brio Outdoors. Louis now serves as the head of design, overseeing the product development of a new chuck box that unfolds into an outdoor kitchen. He and his business partners launched this project in the summer of 2024 on Kickstarter and are now focused on overseas manufacturing to bring it to market.

  • Eric Pottie

    An East Coast transplant, Eric moved to Saskatoon in 2022. A librarian for eight years, now with the Saskatoon public library he enjoys working for and with the community, encouraging literacy, and assisting patrons find what they’re looking for. Growing up in rural Nova Scotia, Eric has always felt a strong sense of giving back and community support and tries to bring the lessons learned to his day to day.
    In his spare time Eric can be found out playing basketball, walking the dog or doing amateur woodworking. He also enjoys doing DIY projects around the house, reading, and collecting old
    movies.

  • Brittany Lloy

    Brittany's educational background in graphic design, UX and design thinking has shaped her career as a designer for over a decade. Throughout her professional journey, she has specialized in building intuitive and accessible experiences in the tech and software space. Outside her professional life, she has explored many creative paths, notably oil painting and ceramics.

    Brittany believes that creativity thrives in a communal environment. As a resident of Riversdale, she is passionate about building and connecting with her local community. As a hands-on learner, she recognizes that education takes many forms and is a believer that both art and education should be accessible to all. She is passionate about creating opportunities for folks from all walks of life to benefit from creative learning experiences.

  • Andrew Keith

    Andrew is an entrepreneur, real estate professional, and artist with a diverse skill set and a strong passion for community building. After running his own business for fourteen years, he transitioned into property management for a small LLC, where he oversees operations, manages finances, and negotiates leases and contracts. Andrew's background in philosophy has honed his critical and creative thinking, which he applies to both his professional and artistic endeavors.

    As a novice woodworker, Andrew enjoys dismantling and salvaging materials from homes set for demolition, repurposing them into both art and practical projects. He values sustainability and is committed to reusing materials whenever possible. A former artist-in-residence at the Saskatoon Makerspace, he is eager to contribute to its long-term success, Andrew is excited to bring his skills and passion to the board, helping to further the legacy of the Saskatoon Makerspace and its community.
