Sewing 101: Holiday Stocking

  • Saskatoon Makerspace 209 Avenue D South Saskatoon, SK, S7M 1P8 Canada (map)

In this begginer workshop at Saskatoon Makerspace, students will learn the basics of sewing and create their own holiday stocking. The class will cover topics such as straight stiches, basic cutting and sewing of a star quilt block, and basic straight quilting. Through hands-on practice and guided instruction, students will create a unique stocking to take home.

This class is suitable for all levels of sewing, but is structured to be welcoming to begginers.

Students must bring their own sewing machine, basic supplies (shears, pins, bobbins, thread, etc.), and have knowledge of basic stitch and threading, as well as of your machine's operation. If you are unfamiliar with this, you can book an additional 30 minutes of teaching time prior to the class for $10. Please contact us for this.
