Sewing 101: Sew your own t-shirt!

If you’ve ever wanted to customize your clothes to fit you just right, or you don’t want to spend money on clothes, you should take sewing 101! In this workshop you will sew your own t-shirt while learning the basics of sewing, including threading and operating your machine, hemming knit fabrics, and attaching a neckband. This workshop is especially great if you’ve forgotten all of your high school Home Ec. skills. \ all skill levels welcome! \ bring your own sewing machine

Students will bring their own sewing machine and notions you have already, including:

- Fabric scissors

- Pin cushion

- Tape measure

- Marking pen

- Seam Ripper

- Thread Snips (is not necessary)

- Sewing gauge

Note: The Sewing 101 class will be cancelled if there are less than two students in the class 48 hours before the class is scheduled to begin. If Saskatoon Makerspace cancels the class due to insufficient amount of students, you will get a refund for the price of the class including taxes
